SWAMI DAYAMRITA viist in APRIL-MAY-english at the end

It was an April evening, Swami Dayamrita returned for the eighth visit to Costa Rica. The devotees were very excited to share Ammas’ love in Costa Rica and also to feel her presence here. The first program was in Puerto Viejo, a small fishing village on the Caribbean. It is much like Amritapuri in smells and looks, both the tropics. Even the people’s appearances are similar to Kerela, India. The program was received with much enthusiasm from adults and many children. The music was somewhat cacophony, but I am sure Amma loved it. We returned to the capitol San Jose, where we prepared for five programs there. Friday night the La Luz de Amma organization met for satsang, personal questions, answers and dinner with Dayamrita Swami. All present felt Amma in our midst. The next days were filled with Amma programs, two IAM meditation classes and two satsangs. All were well attended and well received. The halls were decorated for Amma to arrive, and sure enough, her divine presence was felt. The set-up and programs were done with much love.

Dayamrita was pleased to see that Amma Costa Rica is flourishing. La Luz de Amma is now having regular Satsangs, and since his last visit has fed approximately 1000 meals to the homeless. We have adopted 2 orphanages where devotees have donated their time helping with homework, beach days, movies, yoga, food, clothing, dance, puppet shows and healing practices and much love and attention. We have also helped build bathrooms, security systems, donated paint and painted one home. There was also a large donation of medical equipment for the handicapped orphans. Ammas’ presence is being felt more and more. We wait for the day Amma will come, but until then the light of her love is felt through the growing selfless service if Her devotees in Costa Rica.

Jai Amma
